Questions about this floor

Straight answers

What a manager or contractor with a floor like this usually asks first.

What is happening in these photos?

These photos show grinding, the first working stage. Diamond tooling opens the slab, removes coatings and residue, and sets the base for the densifier and the polish that follow.

Why is the ground area lighter than the rest?

Grinding removes the dull surface layer and exposes clean concrete. The darker area hasn't been touched yet, which makes the edge a useful before and after in a single frame.

What are the machines at the back?

Grinding machines and dust extractors. The extractors pull dust off the floor as the work goes, so the building stays cleaner.

How do you protect the rest of a building from the dust?

The plan covers containment, extraction and the hours we work. In an operating building that conversation happens on the walkthrough, before work starts.

What comes after grinding?

After grinding comes densifying, then progressively finer polishing passes, then a protective guard. The order is the same on every floor, and the finish level is chosen with you.

Have a floor like this?

Send the address and what the floor does all winter. We will walk it, check the slab and write a scope.
